Lara and Glen
This bride gives new meaning to the word organized! We want to hire her to make us a template for ourselves and all our brides to follow to make sure nothing gets forgotten. Let’s just say, she is into details! And she is so sweet and nice and we love her. We will certainly miss her and her ever expanding binder.
Lara and her girls stayed at the Brentwood Bay Lodge and got their hair and makeup done on site. Jenny Clark (her website is not up yet) did a fantastic job with all the makeup. We were gobsmacked with her arsenal of products and photographer
Robyn Strong caught us drooling over everything.
Lara wanted blue hydrangeas and she got tons of them. There is a special memory for her of her Dad growing prize winning blue hydrangeas when she was a little girl and after he passed away, she knew that they would play an important part of her wedding day.
The ceremony and reception were held at one of our favorite venues Sea Cider in Sidney. The planning of the event was put in ever capable hands of Christine Smart and it was a pleasure to be a part of the organization from the very start.
The ceremony was held in the Cider House and we decorated the railing with masses of hydrangeas to mark the area.
This is the after shot.
We make an inspiration board for each bride, which serves as a visual reminder to us about all the elements for the day. We use colour swatches and copies of any printed material we receive from the couple. We loved Lara’s board.
The reception tent came together wonderfully. Behind the head table we installed a curly willow valance, that was decorated with crystals and hydrangeas. It served as a perfect backdrop for the couple and the view. The tables were draped in pintuck linens in shades of hydrangeas and white with lime green runners.
Behind the scenes. See we really do all the work!

How sweet are they? We love you guys! Here are some more cute shots that Lara sent us keep checking for the gallery on our site.
