Lindsay and Peter

Lindsay  works at a little cupcake cafe just down the road from the studio called Crumbsy’s Cafe.  It is an adorable, kid friendly  cafe that just happens to be one of Vanessa’s favorite hangouts and so when Lindsay told us she was getting married, we jumped right in to help her out.  She came with lots of great ideas for her day, including using a collection of earthenware jugs her Mom has collected over the years.  We combined those with some of our own collections of antique bottles, jars and silver pieces to create her country style wedding.  The ceremony took place at one of the oldest churches on Vancouver Island, St. Peters Anglican Church in Duncan BC. With a lovely reception at the Merridale Cidery, in Cobble Hill, BC.

All the larger arrangements were constructed in some of our antique sap buckets and vintage crock pots, and they were filled with the most romantic of blooms all to create the perfect country wedding look!

We recruit helpers whenever we can and we have had lots of wonderful friends (and relatives) come out and give us a hand on the day of the wedding for set up.  Vanessa’s charming Mom, Stephanie, was a great sport as she got a very rainy day to pitch in, but was all smiles and had fun.  Thanks, Stephanie.

Here are some of the pieces we filled with lovely country blooms.

The tables were set with a sapling apple tree, picked out and purchased by Lindsay’s Dad.  Around the trees were a combination of vessels all arranged with simple blooms.

How pretty!

Congratulations Lindsay and Peter! We eagerly await the photos from the very talented Kathy Patton who shot the whole wedding. Check out Kathy’s blog post about this wedding here, and stay tuned for more pictures!
