Jillian and Chris
Jill loves sunflowers and wanted them everywhere when her and Chris tied the knot at Church and State Winery on August 21. Perfect timing, as the sunflowers were spectacular this year. Because they are from out of town, Jill and Chris hired the super talented and very charming Slavita of Elements Modern Weddings to help orchestrate their very detailed wedding day. We all worked together to bring to life the dreams of this wonderful couple.
The ceremony site was adorned with all manner of sunflowers; in galvanized buckets hung on shepherds hooks and masses of them flanking the couple. Our great pal Margaret helped on this one and we couldn’t have done it without her “bell’occhio”, her wonderful eye for beauty and balance. I wish I had my camera handy as she was trying to get those hooks into the rocky ground!
Chris and Jill had these cute wine boxes made up for the occasion.
We used them on all the tables, filled with sunflowers.
Okay, I can’t believe we didn’t get a shot of Chris! We met him only days before the wedding, but I will say we were swept away with his good looks and charm. We love that he is so enchanted with Jill and her with him. This couple is made for each other, they share an enormous sense of adventure, fun, laughter and have a strong connection with their family and friends. What a beautiful celebration for this fabulous couple.
We will have some images up on our gallery soon taken by the superbly talented photographers Chris and Lynn from Vancouver.

I noticed that you love Sunflowers. So do I. So much so that I was inspired to write a romance book called SUNGOLD about a Sunflower Farm in Minnesota – just before the Canadian border. It’s still for sale as an e book or large print. First printing was hardcover from Avalon Books so maybe in the library.
Enjoy married life.
