Last week we had the distinct pleasure of travelling up island to Genoa Bay to create the flowers for a wedding at the SPECTACULAR Bird’s Eye Cove Farm. I couldn’t resist asking one of my favourite photographers to come along with us to document from start to finish. Emmy of E/A Photography, the following images are a little behind the scenes peek into a travelling floral designer…..

The transformation begins, the tables are set with a “scape” of potted herbs, large mounds of fluffy white hydranges, soft lisianthus with a nest of herbs like sage, mint, and rosemary. Candles are everywhere and menus and napkins tied with a blue ribbon and placed at every place.

The bouquets are finished and delivered, smiles and tears are shared…

Large arrangements are built in the ceremony site which sits beside a rolling pasture where Zach lives with all his family. If we could have fit him in our van and brought him home we would have. Just one of the many reason this place captured our hearts.

And the team that keeps me laughing till it hurts, smiling my face in half, and constantly amazing me with the fountain of generosity, love and talent. I am the luckiest girl in the world, because I get to do what I love surrounded by some of the best human beings ever.
